The Map Search works a little differently and is also fairly easy-to-use. The Full MLS Search provides the most robust searching capability on the site. It is the same search tool used by Realtors, and it accesses the MLS database directly. It has many additional capabilities to help narrow your search to specific areas and criteria. It even includes the capability for you to save your searches and include notes about them.
